Booking conditions
What you are agreeing to
Last updated 25 September 2026.
These are the conditions you are agreeing to when you book a session at Kala. They are meant to be clear about the two things people actually want to know: when you get charged, and what happens if you cannot come.
Who you are booking with
Sessions at Kala are provided by Rita Deaibes Feghali, trading as Kala, Viale XII Giugno 15, int. 13, 40124 Bologna (BO), Italy. VAT number 04261931200. You can reach the studio at rita@kalastudio.it or +39 051 498 2363.
Booking a session
Booking requires an account, which you create with your email address and a code we send you — there is no password to remember.
Every price on this site is the price per person and includes VAT where it applies. Group classes have a small number of places; when they are full you can join the waiting list and we will contact you if a place opens up.
How payment works
When you pay by card, the amount is authorised on your card at the moment you book — held, not taken. It is charged 24 hours before the session starts, which is when free cancellation closes. Until then, no money has left your account.
You can also pay at the studio in cash or by card, or use a class pass if you have one. Passes are paid for in full when you buy them.
Changing or cancelling
You can cancel a session yourself from your account up to 24 hours before it starts, and nothing is charged — the hold on your card is simply released. If you used a pass, the class goes back onto it.
Inside the last 24 hours, the session is charged and cannot be cancelled from your account. If something has genuinely gone wrong — illness, an emergency — call the studio. Rita would rather hear from you than not.
Not turning up without telling us counts as a late cancellation.
If the studio cancels
If Kala cancels a session for any reason, you are refunded in full or, if you prefer, moved to another session. A class pass used for it goes back onto the pass. You will hear from us by email as soon as the decision is made.
Class passes
A pass is a number of classes bought in advance, valid for the period shown when you buy it, and usable on the practices listed with it. Unused classes expire at the end of that period. A pass is personal to you and cannot be transferred or exchanged for money.
An unlimited pass (a membership) lets you book as many of the practices listed with it as you like while it is valid, one class per day, for yourself only. Cancelling a class booked with it gives nothing back, because nothing was taken off.
Some passes carry a no-show fee, shown with the pass before you buy it. A no-show is a class booked with your pass that you neither cancelled nor attended. Where a pass allows a number of free no-shows, the fee applies to each one after those. While a fee is unpaid the pass is on hold and cannot be used to book; you can pay it from your account or at the studio. The rules that apply to your pass are the ones shown when you bought it, even if the pass is later changed for new buyers.
Gifts and Kala credit
A Kala gift is a voucher for either an amount of Kala credit or a specific pass. It has a code that can be added to one Kala account, once, within 12 months of purchase. After that it can no longer be added.
Kala credit is used automatically when you book a session it fully covers or buy a pass (for a pass, any difference is paid by card). It can also be used at the studio. Credit used for a booking is returned to your account if the booking is cancelled within the free cancellation window, or if Kala cancels the session.
A gifted pass starts when it is added to an account and then runs for its own validity, with the rules shown for that pass. Gifts and Kala credit cannot be exchanged for cash, and the gift is invoiced to the person who bought it.
The 14-day withdrawal right
Under Italian consumer law, services booked for a specific date — classes, appointments and workshops among them — are excluded from the usual fourteen-day right of withdrawal for distance contracts. The cancellation terms above are what apply instead.
Class passes, which are not tied to a specific date, can be withdrawn from within fourteen days of purchase provided none of the classes has been used.
Your health
Nothing offered at Kala is medical treatment, and none of it is a substitute for advice from a doctor. Health coaching, yoga, Pilates, Tabata, meditation and Reiki are wellbeing practices.
Please tell your teacher before the session about any injury, condition, medication or pregnancy that could affect how you should move, and stop if something hurts. If you have a health condition or are unsure whether a practice suits you, speak to your doctor first. You take part at your own discretion and are responsible for working within your own limits.
In the studio
Please arrive a few minutes early — arriving after a class has begun is disruptive, and for some sessions we may not be able to let you join. Mats and props are provided; come in clothes you can move in.
Kala is not responsible for personal belongings left in the studio.
If something goes wrong
Write to rita@kalastudio.it and Rita will answer personally. These conditions are governed by Italian law; if you are a consumer, that does not take away any protection you have under the mandatory law of the country you live in, or your right to bring a claim where you live.
